Jim Rowley

Jim Rowley is the Global Head of Investment Implementation Research at Vanguard, a position held since November 2005. As a member of the senior leadership team of the Investment Strategy Group, Rowley leads a team focused on research and thought leadership in indexing, ETFs, active management, alternatives, factor strategies, and ESG. Prior roles at Vanguard include Head of Investor Research, Head of Active-Passive Portfolio Research, Senior Investment Analyst, and Head of ETF Data & Analytics. Rowley began their career at Merrill Lynch as a Marketing Specialist and Fund Accountant, and later served as an Associate in Short-Term Structured Finance at Lehman Brothers. Prior experience includes an Investment Analyst role at Gartmore. Rowley holds a BS in Business Administration from Villanova University and an MBA in Finance from NYU Stern School of Business.
