Melanie Breaux

Melanie Breaux serves as the Director of Investment Stewardship at Vanguard, specializing in corporate governance and board governance within the Americas. Since May 2019, Melanie has led engagements with corporate boards and senior executives, focusing on strategic oversight, risk management, and proxy voting in the Financial and Real Estate sectors. Prior to this role, Melanie held various legal positions, including Assistant General Counsel and Associate Counsel on the Finance Legal Team, where responsibilities encompassed drafting and reviewing crucial corporate documents. Melanie's legal career also includes roles at Larsson & Scheuritzel P.C. as Counsel to the Firm, as well as positions at Silverang & Donohoe, LLC, Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, Pepper Hamilton LLP, and WolfBlock, LLP. Earlier experience includes managing an apartment complex and a strong educational background with a Juris Doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School, a BFA in Theater and Writing from NYU Tisch School of the Arts, and additional studies in writing at UCLA.
