Piyush Saxena

Piyush Saxena, Ph.D., is an experienced leader in artificial intelligence and machine learning, currently serving as the Head of AI/ML, Scale and Generative AI at Vanguard since April 2024, where the focus is on Generative AI applications for the Personal Investor business. Prior to this role, Piyush held various positions at Direct Supply from May 2016 to April 2024, including Director of Artificial Intelligence, where collaboration with executive leaders shaped transformative AI strategies, and management of a team of over 30 data scientists and ML engineers. Piyush has a proven track record of developing patented AI technologies, enhancing revenue contributions significantly, and integrating advanced AI techniques across multiple platforms. Educational background includes a Ph.D. in Computational Science, a Master of Science in Structural Engineering, and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, all obtained from Marquette University.
