Mark Careford

Mark Careford has over 30 years of work experience in the IT industry. Mark has held various technical and leadership roles in organizations such as Vanquis Banking Group, Provident Financial Group, Equifax, Covéa Insurance, Lloyds Banking Group, Halifax plc, Halifax Building Society, Hewlett-Packard, SIGTA LIMITED, and Singer Link-Miles - Flight Simulators. Mark has expertise in application design, development, and integration using various technologies and tools, including the Microsoft stack, GIT, Jenkins, and UNIX shell scripting. Mark has also been involved in project management, improving project quality, technical documentation, and unit testing. Mark's experience spans across banking, finance, insurance, and telecommunications sectors.

Mark Careford attended the University of South Wales from 1991 to 1994, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Studies with Honors, focusing on Computer Science. Prior to that, they studied at Brighton Technical College from 1987 to 1990 and earned a National Certificate in Software Engineering. Additionally, in 2020, Mark obtained a certification from Microsoft as a Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals.
