Bill Thomson

Bill Thomson is the current VP of Marketing & Business Development at Vantage Drilling International. Bill has over 25 years of experience in the field of oil and gas drilling, working their way up from Naval Architect/Project Manager, to Technical Field Support Manager, to Operations Manager - Asset. Bill has managed projects all over the world, including reactivation/stacking projects in the UK sector of the North Sea, and repairs and upgrades on jack-ups, semi-submersibles and drillships in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and the Far East.

Bill Thomson has an executive education in accounting and finance from NYU Stern School of Business, an IADC WELL CAP - Supervisor from Well Control Institute, a post grad (Hons) in oil and gas law from Robert Gordon University, and a BEng (Hons) in naval architecture & offshore engineering from University of Strathclyde.

Their manager is Ihab Toma, CEO. They work with Douglas E. Stewart - CFO, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary, Douglas Halkett - COO, and Wayne Bauer - Director of QHSE.
