Matt Trifiro

CMO at Vapor IO

Matt Trifiro is the current Chief Marketing Officer at Vapor IO. Matt has also served as the co-chair of the Edge Committee at Open-IX Association and as the co-founder and co-author of the Open Glossary of Edge Computing.

Trifiro has over 15 years of experience in technology and marketing. Matt got their start in the industry working in product marketing at startups like JotSpot (acquired by Google) and SocialText (acquired by PBworks). Matt then transitioned into podcasting and content marketing, co-founding the Over the Edge Podcast, which was nominated for a Podcast Award in 2017.

In 2018, Trifiro co-founded the Open Glossary of Edge Computing project at The Linux Foundation. The Open Glossary is an openly licensed repository of common and accepted definitions for terms related to edge computing. As an official open source project of The Linux Foundation, the Open Glossary leverages a diverse community to develop and improve upon this shared lexicon.

In 2020, Trifiro became the co-chair of the Edge Committee at Open-IX Association. Matt helped oversee the development, publication, and marketing launch of the OIX-3 Edge Data Center Certification, an American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Standard.

Trifiro has a bachelor's degree in economics from UC Berkeley.

Matt Trifiro has a degree in philosophy, linguistics, and rhetoric from the University of California, Berkeley. Matt also has a professional program in cooking from Tante Marie's Cooking School.

They work with Alan Bock - VP of Corporate Strategy, Catherine Bedell - General Counsel, and Daniel Herb - VP of Product & Engineering. Matt Trifiro reports to Cole Crawford, Founder & CEO.
