Duane Peterson has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. In 2008, they worked as an Operator at AccuTrans Inc., where they were responsible for warehouse supervision, training employees, and ensuring safe and efficient production processes. From 2011 to 2012, Duane served as an Ombudsman at the Office of Injured Employee Counsel, where they assisted and advocated for injured employees in the workers' compensation system. In 2012, they joined GEM Mobile Treatment Services as an Environmental employee. In 2014, Duane became the owner of Fresh Coat of Baytown, a professional painting company. At Fresh Coat, they provided a range of painting services and managed projects until 2021. From 2016 to 2021, they held multiple roles at GEM Mobile Treatment Services, including Operations Supervisor and Regional Operations Superintendent. Most recently, in 2021, Duane joined Vapor Point as a Project Manager.

Duane Peterson obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Organizational Management / Project Management from Ashford University. Duane began their education at Ashford University in 2009 and completed their degree in 2012. Prior to their Bachelor's degree, Duane also pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Organizational Management / Project Management at Ashford University from 2012 to 2013. Additionally, in 1993, they obtained a certification as a Chemical Process Technician from San Jacinto College.
