David A.r. Poole

David A.R. Poole is a seasoned professional in the oil and gas industry, currently serving as a Senior Strategic Advisor at Vår Energi since October 2019. Prior experience includes roles as a Global Exploration Advisor at Eni and Subsurface and Technical QC Manager at Point Resources. David held various leadership positions at Spike Exploration, Talisman Energy, and Statoil, where responsibilities ranged from Vice President of Subsurface and Exploration to Business Development Manager. Earlier in their career, David worked with ExxonMobil and Esso as a geophysicist. Academically, David holds a Master of Arts in Philosophy from The Manchester Metropolitan University, a Doctor of Philosophy in Geology/Earth Science from UiT-The Arctic University of Norway, and a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy from the same institution.
