Egil Rasch Sandvik

Egil Rasch Sandvik is a Drilling Controls Specialist with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry, currently working at Vår Energi since December 2018, where involvement includes the Ringhorne start-up and re-mobilization project. Previously, Sandvik held the same title at Point Resources, contributing to similar projects and enhancing drilling equipment through technical upgrades. Sandvik's career began at National Oilwell Varco, where roles included Senior Service Engineer and Installation & Commissioning Manager, with global responsibilities in service, commissioning, and project management for drilling equipment. Prior experience as an Avionics Engineer at SAS Braathens and the Royal Norwegian Air Force equipped Sandvik with a solid foundation in electrical and avionics systems maintenance and engineering. Educational qualifications include studies at the University of Buskerud and various upper secondary schools in Norway.
