Gard Munkerud

Gard Munkerud has extensive work experience in the field of reservoir engineering. Gard is currently employed at Vår Energi as a Senior Reservoir Engineer, where they have been working since July 2022. In this role, their responsibilities are not specified. However, prior to this position, they worked as a Reservoir Engineer at the same company from May 2021 to June 2022. During this time, their role focused on partner-operated assets in the Statfjord area, and they also served as an Advisory Committee deputy for Statfjord Unit license and Advisory Committee member for Statfjord Øst, Statfjord Nord, and Sygna licenses.

Before joining Vår Energi, Gard worked as a Reservoir Engineer Consultant at Resoptima from August 2019 to April 2021. Gard also had a summer internship as a Production Engineer at the same company in 2018, where they primarily worked on reservoir simulation and history matching well sites in the Bakken area for a major operator in Houston.

Gard's previous experience includes a summer internship as a Drilling & Well Engineer at Equinor (formerly Statoil) in 2017. During this internship, they worked on well construction & integrity, data mining related to petrophysical logs, and rock mechanics in depleted reservoirs.

Additionally, Gard worked as a Teacher's Assistant at NTNU from August 2015 to May 2017.

Gard Munkerud completed their education in a chronological manner. From 2011 to 2014, they attended Vestby Videregående skole, where the degree and field of study information is unavailable. Following this, they enrolled at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) from 2014 to 2019, during which they earned a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Petroleum Engineering. Additionally, from 2017 to 2018, Gard spent a year as a Graduate Exchange Student at Texas A&M University, specializing in Petroleum Engineering.
