Geir Arne Vatsvåg has extensive work experience in engineering and construction, specifically in the fields of surface protection, insulation, and corrosion control. Geir Arne has worked for various companies, including Vår Energi, MDE Consultants AS, Equinor, Akersolutions, Total, Eni Norge AS, Nexus Floating Production, AkerKvaerner Offshore Partner, and Kværner Oil & Gas. Throughout their career, they have held roles such as MCT and Penetration Engineer, Inspector QC - Insulation & Architect, Field Engineer Surface & ISO, Senior Engineer - Surface Protection, Painting & Insulation Supervisor, Construction Superintendent Surface & Insulation, Senior Engineer, Painting Supervisor, Site Engineer, Corrosion Protection & Architectural Superintendent, and Senior Engineer. Geir Arne Vatsvåg's responsibilities have included detail design, quality surveillance, field engineering, fabrication coordination, mechanical completion, offshore maintenance work planning, inspections, and coordination with other disciplines. Geir Arne has a thorough understanding of corrosion protection philosophy, production control, planning, and steel design.

Geir Arne Vatsvåg attended Stavanger Tekniske Fagskole from 1988 to 1990, where they studied Mekanisk (Mechanical) field of study. In addition to their education, they also obtained certifications as an Insulation Inspector level III from FROSIO in July 2020 and as a Painting Inspector level III from FROSIO in February 2020.
