Reidun Ommundsen has a diverse work experience with multiple roles in different companies. Reidun started their career as a Chemical Process Operator at Elkem from July 2000 to June 2005. Reidun then worked at Petrolink, where they were a Process Engineer from June 2006 to December 2011 and later became a Senior Process Engineer from January 2012 to March 2015.
Reidun joined add energy as a Project Manager and Senior Technical Author from April 2015 to May 2017. Reidun then moved to PXO AS, where they worked as an Operation & Project Engineer from May 2017 to the present. In this role, they developed and updated operational documentation, strategies, system descriptions, and procedures. Reidun also provided general operations support, project control, and coordination.
Reidun also has experience working at ConocoPhillips, where they served as a Training & Operating Documentation Specialist from May 2012 to March 2014. In this role, they were responsible for training and documentation for various projects, including Ekofisk 2/4Z, EKOZ, EKOL, and Eldfisk 2/7 S. Reidun developed and facilitated classroom courses, performed QA/QC for training materials, and acted as a contact person for specific platforms and systems.
Their most recent position is with Vår Energi, where they are currently working as a Project Manager since January 2021. Overall, Reidun Ommundsen's work experience spans over various roles in project management, engineering, and technical writing in the energy industry.
Reidun Ommundsen attended Østfold University College (HiØ) from 2002 to 2003, where they completed a preparatory course for engineering. Following this, they enrolled at the Western Norway University of Applied Sciences from 2003 to 2006, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry with a specialization in process.
