Thomas Skaar Pettersen

Thomas Skaar Pettersen is a seasoned subsea engineering professional with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry. Currently serving as a Senior Subsea Engineer at Vår Energi since January 2022, Thomas has previously held roles including Senior Subsea Completion Engineer at Lundin Norway AS, where responsibilities included planning and preparing the plug and abandonment (P&A) of the Brynhild subsea field. Prior experience at Statoil involved acting as a Senior Subsea Engineer, contributing to rig team planning for P&A, completions, and maintenance. Thomas began a career in the industry at FMC Kongsberg Subsea, where managerial and supervisory roles included a focus on completion, tie-in, and system integration testing.
