Brian Crofts

Brian Crofts has extensive work experience in various engineering roles. Brian started their career at Tektronix, Inc. in 2000 as a Software Engineer. From 2005 to 2012, they worked at Beijer Electronics, Inc. as an Electrical Engineer and later as an Electrical Team Manager. During this time, they were responsible for electronic design, firmware development, and CAD design for schematic capture and PCB layout.

In 2012, Brian joined SanDisk as a Senior Electrical Engineer. Brian designed and tested FPGA-based logic and embedded firmware for power consumption and thermal power dissipation analysis of SSD products. Brian also designed hardware platforms for NAND flash array testing and emulation. Brian demonstrated expertise in validating power and performance of large gate count FPGA-based, PCIe-interface SSDs during their tenure at SanDisk.

Brian's most recent role was at Ripple LLC, where they worked as an R&D Engineer from 2015 to 2022. In this position, they contributed to research and development efforts in the company.

Currently, Brian is an Electrical Engineer at Varex Imaging Corporation, starting in 2022. Further details about their role at this company are not provided.

Brian Crofts completed their education at Oregon Health & Science University, where they earned a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from 2000 to 2005. Prior to that, they attended the University of Utah from 1995 to 1999, where they obtained a bachelor's degree in both Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering. In addition to their academic qualifications, Brian also holds certifications from the IPC institution. Brian was awarded the Certified Interconnect Designer (CID) certification in November 2009 and the Advanced Certified Interconnect Designer (CID+) certification in April 2010.
