Rui Guo

Rui Guo has a strong background in research and engineering. They started their career as a Master Student at Fudan University, where they focused on numerical simulations and experimental measurements of photonic bandgap structures. They then continued their education at Aalto University as a PhD Candidate, where they designed, simulated, fabricated, and characterized nanophotonic systems. Their projects included modulation of fluorescent molecules and quantum dots, diffractive surface modes in plasmonic arrays, and plasmonic lasing. Finally, Rui Guo joined Varex Imaging Corporation as a Research Engineer, specializing in image processing and data analysis for product/algorithm development and production support.

Rui Guo's education history is as follows:

Rui Guo completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Nanophotonics and Quantum Optics at Aalto University from 2013 to 2018. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science (MS) in Photonic Crystal and Plasmonics from Fudan University, where they studied from 2010 to 2013. Their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Physics was also earned from Fudan University, spanning from 2006 to 2010.

In addition to their formal education, Rui Guo obtained a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Training certification from Jaatinen B.V. in February 2022.
