Stephen Cook has a diverse work history with experience in validation and manufacturing engineering, medical device consulting, quality engineering, and manufacturing engineering. Stephen began their career as a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machinist at SPS Technologies, programming and operating a CNC lathe for machining aerospace fasteners. Stephen then worked at CR Bard as a Manufacturing Engineer, where they conducted tests and validations for silicone catheter tubing. After that, they joined Fresenius Medical Care North America as a Quality Engineer, programming Coordinate Measurement Machines (CMM) and inspecting customer returns. Stephen later worked at BD as a Manufacturing Engineer, before moving to Ford Motor Company as a Manufacturing Engineer and Program Execution Analyst. In this role, they developed a transmission assembly line and refined the pre-program business case development process. Stephen then joined Ortho Development Corporation as a Quality Engineer and eventually became the CEO of CFC, a medical device consulting company. In their role as CEO, they provided remediation and validation consulting services for medical devices and ensured compliance with regulations. Most recently, Stephen has been working as a Validation and Manufacturing Engineer at Varex Imaging Corporation, where they validate production processes and provides support for x-ray tube production.
Stephen Cook has a diverse education history. Stephen attended Brigham Young University from 1995 to 1996, where they earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Manufacturing Engineering Technology/Technician. Prior to this, they studied General Studies at the University of Utah from 1991 to 1992. Stephen then pursued an Associate of Science (AS) degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology at Salt Lake Community College from 1993 to 1995. Stephen obtained their high school diploma from Brighton High School (Utah) in 1988.
In 2014, Stephen completed a Certificate of Completion program at Draper University, focusing on various areas such as Business Start-ups, Entrepreneurship, Raising Capital, Venture Capital, and Private Equity.
Aside from their degrees, Stephen Cook also holds two certifications. In 2001, they obtained a Six Sigma Green Belt (CSSGB) certification from Ford Motor Company. In 2021, they furthered their expertise by obtaining another Six Sigma Green Belt (CSSGB) certification from Varex Imaging Corporation.
