Thorsten Hammel

Thorsten Hammel began their work experience as a Systems Design Engineer at PerkinElmer Optoelectronics GmbH & Co KG in 2004. In this role, they specialized in Flat Panel X-Ray Detectors and worked there until 2017. In 2017, Hammel joined Varex Imaging Corporation as a Senior Mechanical Engineer in the Detectors department.

Thorsten Hammel completed a Diploma in Physics at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz from 1990 to 1996. Thorsten went on to pursue further education at the same university, earning a Doctorate in Physics (Dr. rer. nat.) from 1996 to 2003.
