Jacek Marek

Jacek Marek is a Senior Software Engineer at Varian, specializing in the development of the Ethos online adaptive radiotherapy platform since November 2018. Key contributions include developing back-end services and serving as the technical lead for treatment management and monitoring subsystems. Previously, Jacek held the role of Technical Lead at APSIS from September 2014 to October 2018, where responsibilities included architecting and building the Apsis One email marketing platform on AWS, designing serverless architectures, and managing AWS deployment infrastructure. Prior experience includes roles at Pegasystems, GE Healthcare, IBM, and ABB, where Jacek worked on mobile applications, test automation frameworks, internal tooling, and multi-agent systems. Jacek holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Jagiellonian University and has studied at both Utrecht University and The School of Banking and Management in Cracow.
