Kaja Wasik

Kaja Wasik is the Chief Science Officer and Co-Founder at Variant Bio. Kaja was previously a Co-Founder and CSO at Gencove from March 2016 to October 2018. Prior to that, they were a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the New York Genome Center from March 2016 to May 2017. Kaja Wasik has dedicated their career to developing cheap and robust genome sequencing technology to collect population-scale genomic data. The data collected will be used for large scale association studies with the goal of understanding the genetic variance of the study participants.

Kaja Wasik has a Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics from Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, an MSc in Molecular Biology from University of Warsaw, and an MA in Journalism and Political Science from University of Warsaw.
