Laura Yerges-Armstrong

VP, Computational Genetics at Variant Bio

Dr. Laura Yerges-Armstrong is the current Vice President of Computational Genetics at Variant Bio. Laura was previously the Senior Director, Head of Statistical Genetics and Genomic Data Sciences at GSK from January 2016 to May 2021. Prior to that, they were an Assistant Professor at the University of Maryland, Baltimore from February 2009 to December 2015. Dr. Yerges-Armstrong began their career as a Laboratory Technician at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research from January 2002 to December 2003 before becoming a NIA Predoctoral Fellow at the University of Pittsburgh from January 2006 to January 2009.

Laura Yerges-Armstrong has a PhD in Epidemiology from the University of Pittsburgh and a BS in Microbiology from Penn State University. Laura is certified in public health from the National Board of Public Health Examiners (NBPHE).
