Jari Heiskanen

Jari Heiskanen has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of mechanical engineering. Jari started their career in 1995 as a Mechanic Trainee at Koillis-Motor Oy and later worked at Scanfil Oy as a Mechanic Trainee. In 1997, they joined Mechanical Automation MCA Ltd as an Engineer and Trainee in mechanics. From 1998 to 2002, Jari worked as an Application Engineer at Ideal Engineering Oy.

In 2002, Jari joined Mapvision LTD as an Engineer in mechanics and then moved to Flextronics ODM Finland/Microcell as a Senior Design Engineer in Mechanics. Jari also worked in Idem Oy as a Senior Design Engineer and Team Leader in mechanics.

Jari joined Nokia in 2005 and held multiple roles, including Senior Design Engineer, Project Manager, and Specialist, Mechanics. Jari was responsible for mechanics design, supplier management, and manufacturing process verification.

In 2014, Jari joined Microsoft as a Project Manager, Mechanics where they contributed to gadget product programs by leading the mechanics sub-projects and coordinating with the Asia-based virtual team. Jari later became a Senior Engineer in mechanics before being promoted to Senior Mechanical Engineer.

Jari is currently working at Varjo since 2022, where they hold the position of Principal Mechanical Engineer. Jari has recently been appointed as the Head of Mechanical Engineering.

Jari Heiskanen obtained a B.Sc degree in Mechanical Engineering and Robotics from Oulun Teknillinen Oppilaitos, where they studied from 1994 to 1998.
