Jouni Hakala

Jouni Hakala is the current Deputy Director at Varma Mutual Pension Insurance Company. Jouni has also served as the State Secretary at the Ministry of Employment and the Economy and as the Director of New Investments and Public Affairs at Finnish Industry Investment Ltd.

Born in Finland, Jouni Hakala has a long history of working in various positions in order to help improve the economy and spur innovation. Jouni has worked extensively with delegations, both in their home country and abroad, in order to promote Finnish interests. In addition, they have also been responsible for various tasks related to economic affairs, energy, regional development, and capital markets.

Throughout their career, Jouni Hakala has strived to create new growth companies and jobs while also promoting wellbeing. Jouni has been successful in securing financing for numerous companies through private equity funds and venture capital. Jouni Hakala has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Aalto University (Helsinki School of Economics) and a Master's degree in Law from University of Turku.
