Pekka Tiitinen

Pekka Tiitinen currently serves as a Member of the Board of Advisors at the University of Vaasa since March 2024. Since December 1990, Pekka Tiitinen has held the position of Managing Director at ABB Oy Finland and is also the Chairman of ABB in Austria, Denmark, Estonia, and Latvia. Throughout a distinguished career at ABB, significant roles include President and member of the ABB Group executive committee, overseeing the Discrete Automation and Motion division, and heading various international operations across Europe. Additionally, Pekka Tiitinen holds leadership positions, such as Chairman of the Board at VTT, Technical Research Center of Finland, and member of the boards for Varma and Teknologiateollisuus. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Science honoris causa from LUT University and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan.
