Ashima Arora

Ashima Arora, FRM, is an accomplished risk management professional with significant experience in both banking and education. Currently serving as the Enterprise and Operational Risk Manager at Varo Bank since May 2022, Ashima Arora specializes in developing and implementing methodologies for risk assessments and managing the Second Line of Defense’s RCSA Program. Prior to this role, Ashima Arora held various positions at Punjab National Bank from May 2009 to September 2021, including Senior Manager where responsibilities encompassed operational, credit, and enterprise risk management, as well as automation processes consistent with BASEL norms. Ashima Arora also has experience as a Branch Head and Credit Officer, showcasing a grounded understanding of retail and corporate lending. Earlier in a teaching role at Lingayas University, Ashima Arora lectured on computer programming and data structures while leading the college cultural committee. Educational qualifications include a PGDM in Banking and Finance from SVKM's Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from CITM.
