Austin Sumerlin

Austin Sumerlin is the co-founder and EVP of Varsity Energy since February 2020. Prior to this, they worked at Direct Energy as a Sr. Manager - Mergers & Acquisitions from November 2017 to January 2020. Austin also held various roles at Direct Energy from June 2014 to August 2017, including Manager - Decision Support, Sr. Analyst - Mergers & Acquisitions, and Analyst - FP&A. Before joining Direct Energy, they worked at MetLife Financial as Financial Services from March 2006 to April 2008.

From 2002 to 2006, Austin Sumerlin attended the University of Houston, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business with a focus on Finance.
