Erendira Rueda

Erendira Rueda serves as a Professor of Sociology and Director of the Latin American and Latinx Studies Multidisciplinary Program at Vassar College since August 2007. Prior academic experience includes an instructorship at UC Berkeley, where Erendira taught Sociology 190, and a role as a Spanish bilingual tutor and interpreter for English Language Learners in the Oakland Unified School District. Additionally, Erendira contributed as a research assistant for the California Childhoods Project, was a graduate student instructor at UC Berkeley, and worked as a project consultant for The Open University and the BBC on a case study related to childhoods in Oakland. Academic qualifications include a B.A. in Sociology and Education from UC San Diego, as well as an M.A. and Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of California, Berkeley.
