Jean Hinkley

Assistant Director, Community-engaged Learning at Vassar College

Jean Hinkley serves as the Assistant Director of Community-Engaged Learning at Vassar College since August 2020 and has been a Studio Assistant at The Metropolitan Museum of Art since July 2018. Previously, Jean worked at Marist College as the Coordinator for Marist International Programs from January 2018 to August 2020 and completed an internship in Teen/Family Programs at The Metropolitan Museum of Art from September 2017 to April 2018. Jean's experience also includes roles such as Archives Intern at Barrett Art Center, Graduate Assistant at Marist College, Summer Camp Counselor at Mid-Hudson Children's Museum, and Classroom Observer and Child Assessment Data Collector at Child Trends. Early career experience includes serving as Art Director at Bretton Woods Recreation Center and Collections Support Intern at the National Museum of Crime and Punishment. Jean holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from American University and a Master's degree in Museology/Museum Studies from Marist College.
