Aaron Zapiler

Aaron Zapiler is a highly skilled mechanical engineer with extensive experience in tooling and manufacturing, currently serving as a Staff Mechanical Engineer at Vast since June 2025. Prior to this role, Zapiler worked at SpaceX for six years, where advancements included positions as Sr. Mechanical Engineer and Lead Tooling Mechanical Engineer. Earlier experience includes a role as Lead Mechanical Student Engineer at HyperLynx, a Mechanical Engineer Intern at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and various positions at Tesla that encompassed operations, marketing, and customer service. Zapiler holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado Denver, earned in 2019, along with a high school diploma from the Denver Center for International Studies.
