Hans Koenigsmann is an experienced aerospace professional with a strong background in avionics and guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) systems. Notably, Koenigsmann served as Senior Advisor and Vice President of Build and Flight Reliability at SpaceX from May 2012 to September 2021. Prior to that, Koenigsmann was Vice President of Avionics at Space Exploration Technologies from 2002 to October 2011, where responsibilities included the development of early avionics, software, and GNC systems, evolving the title to Vice President of GNC around 2008. Koenigsmann's career also includes roles as Chief Scientist at Microcosm, Inc., and GNC Engineer at Blastoff!, along with experience as ACS Engineer/Program Manager at ZARM. Koenigsmann holds a Dipl.-Ing in Aerospace from Technische Universität Berlin and two PhDs in Aerospace from Universitaet Bremen and University of Bremen (ZARM).
