Igor Nikishchenko

Chief Engineer, Propulsion at Vast

Igor Nikishchenko has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of rocket propulsion. Igor most recently worked at VAST as the Chief Engineer of Propulsion. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Designer at Launcher, where they were responsible for the development and calculations of various rocket engine components, including a 3D printed copper alloy combustion chamber. Before joining Launcher, Igor worked as an Expert System Engineer at aizoOn Technology Consulting, specializing in liquid propulsion engines and their design calculations. Igor also held various positions at Yuzhnoye State Design Office, including Deputy Chief Designer and Head of Engineering Department Sector. In these roles, Igor led the development of software for design automation and analysis of rocket engines, as well as conducted evaluations and oversaw the development of technical documentation. Throughout their career, Igor has demonstrated expertise in propulsion engineering and has played a significant role in advancing rocket engine technologies.

Igor Nikishchenko obtained a Master's degree in Physics from Dnipropetrovsk National University's Physic-Technical Faculty, graduating between the years 1979 and 1985.
