Richard Salem has an extensive work experience spanning over three decades. Richard began their career in 1981 as a Partner at Salem Law Group, PA, a firm focusing on corporate business, government relations, civil litigation, wills, trusts, estate planning, real property, and trans-national business. In 2001, they founded and became the Senior Advisor of Able Force, a 501 (c)(4) AbilityOne provider. Richard also became the Chairman and CEO of Farm Pilot Project Coordination, INC, a non-profit designated by Congress to assist in implementing innovative treatment technologies to address the growing nutrient management challenges associated with animal agriculture. In 2002, they became the Chairman and CEO of Enable America, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to improving employment opportunities for disabled veterans and people with disabilities. In 2003, they became the CEO of Salem Enterprise Solutions, a SBA HUBZone certified small business providing professional services to government agencies and the federal contracting community. In 2007, they became the CEO of VASTEC, a national provider of scanning and data conversion, records management systems hosting, and Section 508 document remediation. Finally, in 2008, they became the CEO of Thermal Matrix, a company dedicated to developing the most advanced, accurate and reliable object detection systems.
Richard Salem attended Belmont Abbey College from 1965 to 1969, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Philosophy. Richard then attended Duke University School of Law from 1969 to 1972, where they earned a Juris Doctor (J.D.).
