Wasim Ahmad

Wasim Ahmad has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Wasim is currently a Member at Gaingels, starting in 2023. In 2018, they served as the CMO and Business Development at Vault12, where they raised funds and played a key role in product development. Wasim was also the Chief Crypto Officer at Vault12, specializing in crypto seed recovery and backup. From 2021, Wasim has been involved with StartOut, first as a Board Member and then as the Co-chair of the Board of Directors. At Reimagine Strategy, which they founded in 2012, they served as the CEO and provided management consulting services to help startups gain a competitive edge. In 2016, Wasim worked as the Chief Marketing Officer at Welcome, a retail solutions company, and from 2014 to 2016, they held the same role at RebelMouse, a publishing platform. Wasim also worked as the Chief Marketing Officer at ADNOLOGIES GmbH from 2013 to 2014, creating digital advertising solutions for retail brands. Wasim's earlier experiences include working in marketing roles at AlphaPoint and nPario. Wasim began their career in 2003 as the Founding Vice President of Marketing at Voltage Security, helping the company grow into a leading encryption company before its acquisition by HPE Security and Microfocus.

Wasim Ahmad obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics and French from the University of Sussex, where they studied from 1985 to 1989. In 1994, they pursued a degree in Software Product Management at the University of California, Berkeley, though the field of study for this degree is unspecified.
