Maria Apkarian

Maria Apkarian has a diverse work experience in the clinical research field. Maria'smost recent role was as Vice President of Clinical Operations at Vaxart, Inc. starting in 2022. Prior to that, they held various roles at different organizations. Maria worked at MDA Clinical Research Consulting from 2014, where they conducted vendor audits, performed monitoring visits, and led defense bid presentations. During their tenure at Southern California Clinical and Translational Science Institute from 2012 to 2014, they served as Director of Operations for the Clinical Trials Unit. Maria Apkarian graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and Media Studies from California State University, Los Angeles in 2008. Maria has also obtained various certifications including Certified Clinical Research Professional in 2011, Re-Certification for CCRC in 2009, Certified Clinical Research Coordinator in 2001, and certifications in Medical and Laboratory Assisting, Certified Nursing Assisting, and Electrocardiogram and Phlebotomy Technicians in 1997 and 1996 respectively.
