Marie Alaghband

Marie Alaghband, Ph.D., currently serves as a Senior Data Scientist at VaxCare since August 2021. Previously, Marie held various positions at the University of Central Florida, including Graduate Research Assistant, where research focused on machine learning applications in sign language and facial expression recognition, and Graduate Teaching Assistant, teaching courses in engineering statistics and data science. Additionally, Marie worked as a Data & Research Scientist with DARPA and UCF, and as a Research Scientist for RBC Royal Bank Of Canada, specializing in big data for fraud detection and risk assessment. Marie holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Central Florida and has educational qualifications in Socio-economic Systems Engineering and Statistics.
