Karen Lo

Karen Lo is an experienced intellectual property professional currently serving as the Director of Intellectual Property at Vaxcyte since July 2022. Prior to this role, Karen worked as Patent Counsel at SRI International from March 2018 to July 2022 and as a contractor Patent Counsel at Gilead Sciences in 2017. Karen's earlier experience includes positions as a Patent Professional at Shay Glenn LLP, a Patent Associate at Mohr IP Law, and a Patent Portfolio Associate at the Center for Commercialization at the University of Washington, focusing on various aspects of patent prosecution and management in medical devices, chemical arts, and life sciences. Karen holds a Juris Doctor degree from Seattle University and a PhD in Physical Chemistry from the University of Washington.
