Arul Gupta

Arul Gupta has a diverse and impressive work experience. Arul began their career as a co-founder and CTO at TeraThought in 2017, where they excelled in technology, architecture, and app development using Java, Swift, Android Studio, Xcode, Adobe XD, and Firebase. In 2020, they joined Dori AI as a Computer Vision Software Engineer, where they developed pipelines, scripts, and tracking algorithms using Python and object detection models for video object tracking and editing. Arul also gained professional experience in video editing using Final Cut Pro X for demos.

In 2016, Arul founded Ridge Robotics and developed a real-time mapping, path-planning, and computer vision algorithm that won the Control Award at the 2019 State Championship. Their leadership skills and technical expertise propelled Ridge Robotics to be ranked in the top 10 among 200+ teams in New Jersey. Arul also presented the company's work at robotics exhibitions at the Liberty Science Center.

Arul's most recent position was as a Software Development Engineer Intern at Amazon in 2021. During their internship, they played a significant role in creating a global server health metric-testing service for Amazon Data Services. Unfortunately, limited details about this project are available due to NDA restrictions.

Currently, Arul is working as a Founding Engineer at Vayu Robotics, starting in May 2022.

Arul Gupta completed their secondary education at Ridge High School between 2016 and 2020, earning a High School Diploma with a focus on STEM subjects. Subsequently, they pursued higher education at the University of California, Berkeley from 2020 to 2022. During this time, Arul studied Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree. Additionally, in January 2021, Arul obtained certification as a MERN Stack JavaScript Developer from LinkedIn.
