Emily Dwyer

Emily Dwyer is a dedicated healthcare professional currently serving as the Lower School Nurse at St. Christopher's School since August 2023. With extensive experience at VCU Health since 2011, Emily has excelled as an RN Care Coordinator, utilizing strong communication skills for patient advocacy and interdisciplinary relationship building, leading to improved patient outcomes. In addition to identifying departmental improvement areas, Emily has enhanced interdepartmental understanding by working across various inpatient units. Previously, as a Clinical Nurse II, Emily effectively provided high-quality care and served in leadership roles, including Charge Nurse and Preceptor. Prior to nursing, Emily held the position of Senior Resident Advisor and Orientation Leader at the University of Virginia, overseeing dormitory operations and facilitating student orientation. Emily earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Virginia in 2010.
