John Morgan

John Morgan currently serves as the Vice President of Clinical at Waymark, focusing on improving health outcomes for Medicaid primary care patients through enhanced care access and support. In parallel, John holds the position of Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at VCU Health, supervising resident physicians in primary care delivery. Previously, John worked as Chief Clinical Innovation Officer for the Virginia Department of Medical Assistance Services, developing clinical policies and guiding pharmacy outreach. With extensive training as a postdoctoral fellow in the National Clinician Scholars Program and residency experience at Penn Medicine, John has a strong foundation in the determinants of healthcare utilization and quality improvement. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Utah and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Columbia Engineering, supplemented by a Master’s in Health Policy Research from the University of Pennsylvania.
