Christian Martin

Christian Martin is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in technology and innovation management. Currently serving as Deputy Head Of Department and Project Manager Team Lead at VDI/VDE Innovation + Technik GmbH since December 2012, Christian oversees projects related to battery production technologies for the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy Germany. Responsibilities include implementing funding for key trans-European innovation partnerships in lithium-ion battery technology. Prior roles include Assistant Head of Division (ad interim) at the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, where oversight of funding activities in electronics was key, and Associate Editor for Nature Materials, focusing on thin-film electronics and nanomaterials. Christian holds a PhD in Applied Physics from Delft University of Technology and a Dipl.-Ing. in Electrical Engineering from Hamburg University of Technology, among other distinguished academic credentials.
