Geert Jakobs

Geert Jakobs has extensive work experience in various leadership roles within the VDL Enabling Technologies Group (ETG) and VDL Groep. Geert currently serves as the CEO of VDL ETG and holds the position of Senior Vice President at VDL Groep. Previously, Geert held the position of Managing Director at VDL ETG Technology & Development B.V. from 2013 to 2020. Prior to joining VDL, they worked at Philips Lighting and Philips ETG in different managerial positions. Geert also has experience as a Management Trainee at Hirsig (CH).

Geert Jakobs pursued their education with their first known attendance at Fontys University of Applied Sciences, where they studied Mechanical Engineering from 1991 to 1996. After a brief gap, they enrolled at ESSEC Business School in 2003 and completed an Executive MBA program in 2004.
