Maarten Dekker

Maarten Dekker currently serves as the Head of Development & Operations at VDL Enabling Technologies Group, leading a sizable team of approximately 450 FTE across various engineering disciplines. With extensive experience in research and development, Maarten previously held key roles at Philips, including MRI R&D Leader of Patient Centric Systems and Group Lead R&D Magnetic Resonance Hardware. Maarten also contributed as a Board Member and Editorial Board member for the Dutch Society for Precision Engineering. Additional roles include Group Leader at DEMCON, Chairman of PSV Zwemmen en Waterpolo, and Mechanical System Engineer at Janssen Precision Engineering. Maarten's educational background includes a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology and a Bachelor’s degree from Fontys University of Applied Sciences.
