Rik van Zomeren

Rik van Zomeren is a seasoned mechanical design engineer with extensive experience spanning over two decades in the engineering field. Currently serving at VDL Enabling Technologies Group (ETG) T&D since June 2018, Rik has held significant roles at ASML and Neways Technologies as a F&T Engineer and Mechanical Design Engineer, respectively. Previous experience includes a position as a System Engineer at FEI Company and a Measurement & Test Technician role at Philips Lumileds Lighting. Rik holds multiple certifications from Mikrocentrum and a degree in Werktuigbouwkunde from Fontys Hogeschool Eindhoven, alongside an MTS in Fotonica Techniek from Technische College Ede. The educational background reflects a strong foundation in engineering principles and methodologies.
