Thomas Knecht is an experienced fire safety professional with a robust background in both practical firefighting and education. Since February 2020, Thomas has served as a lecturer in fire protection training at VdS Schadenverhütung GmbH. Concurrently, since April 2012, Thomas has held the position of managing partner at EHBS Knecht GmbH & Co. KG. Previously, from September 2001 to March 2020, Thomas worked as a senior fire inspector and operations manager at Fraport AG, where responsibilities included oversight of the airport fire department and emergency response. Thomas began their career as a fireman at Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany, from August 1998 to September 2001. Thomas holds a Master of Engineering in Fire Prevention from Hochschule Kaiserslautern, earned between September 2019 and August 2022.
