Andrew Jung

Graduate Student Researcher at Vector Institute

Andrew Jung is a Machine Learning Research Scientist at Deep Genomics since July 2022, previously serving as a Graduate Research Intern there. As a Graduate Student Researcher at both the Vector Institute and the University of Toronto, Andrew has contributed significantly to the field of computational biology and machine learning since 2018. Prior experience includes co-founding World Class Explorers, where Andrew developed web applications, including a content management system for real-estate virtual tours and an online education platform for a healthcare training firm. Andrew's research background includes developing radiation therapy quality assurance monitors at the University Health Network and validating custom collimators for micro-CT machines at Western University. Andrew holds a Ph.D. in Computational Biology and ML from the University of Toronto, alongside a Master of Science in the same field and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Western University.
