Daniel Snider

Daniel Snider is a Compiler Software Engineer at Amazon Web Services since July 2023 and concurrently serves as a Graduate Student Researcher at the Vector Institute since May 2021, focusing on machine learning compilers, distributed systems, and profile-guided optimization. With extensive experience, Daniel was previously a Senior Software Engineer at The Hospital for Sick Children, leading the development of medical data infrastructure and an award-winning computer vision framework. Other roles include Software Team Lead for the Mars Rover Design Team at Ryerson University, Software Engineer at Breqwatr Inc., and various positions including System Administrator at Penguin Automated Systems and Database Specialist at IBM. Daniel holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Toronto, an MSc from the same institution, and a Bachelor of Information Technology from Ontario Tech University.
