Doug Petitt's work experience begins in 1986 at Copeland Corporation, where they worked as a Cost Analyst and later as an International Pricing and Financial Analyst. In 1989, they joined Dayton Power and Light (DPL) in various roles until 2000. From 2000 to 2003, they served as the President of Vectren of Ohio. Doug then moved on to The United Companies, where they held several positions, including Vice President of Government Affairs from 2003 to 2008 and Vice President of Marketing, Conservation & Revenue Administration from 2008 to 2013. From 2013 to 2019, they worked as the CIO and VP of IT, responsible for technology investment and management, including cyber security. Since February 2019, Doug Petitt has been the Executive Vice President and Chief People Officer at The United Companies.
Doug Petitt received their Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the University of Louisville, where they studied from 1982 to 1985. Doug later pursued their Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Dayton, attending from 1992 to 1995.
