Liz King

SVP - Global Product Leader, Inhaled Therapeutics at Vectura Group plc

Liz King has an extensive work history in the pharmaceutical industry, with experience in various roles and companies. Liz began their career at Pfizer in 1998 as a Senior Scientist, where they worked on controlled release formulation development and assessing lead discovery compounds for formulation development. After their time at Pfizer, Liz joined Shire Pharmaceuticals in 2001 as Director of GI Programme Management, where they managed functional activities for marketed and developmental products in the gastro-intestinal therapeutic area. Liz then moved on to ProStrakan in 2006 as a Product Development Leader, where they were responsible for NDA and DCP submissions, life-cycle management of marketed products, and strategic marketing responsibilities. Liz's next role was as Director of Research & Development at Mitovie from 2011 to 2013. Following that, they worked as Associate Director of Operations at Pharmalink Consulting in 2013, and then as Director of Research and Development at Oxford PharmaScience Group Plc from 2014 to 2018. Most recently, Liz has been with Vectura Group since 2018, where they have held various leadership positions including VP Programme Development, VP Delivery Management Nebuliser Platform, SVP Delivery Management, and their current role as SVP - Global Product Leader, Inhaled Therapeutics.

Liz King received their PhD in Materials Science from the University of Cambridge in 1997. Prior to that, they completed a degree in Maths and Chemistry at the University of East Anglia from 1991 to 1994. Liz completed their A levels in Chemistry and Mathematics at William de Ferrers from 1984 to 1991.
