Alexander Kanarsky

Alexander Kanarsky is an accomplished software engineer with extensive experience in search infrastructure and backend development. Currently serving as a Principal Software Engineer at Veeva Systems since March 2020, Kanarsky leads efforts within the Search Infrastructure Team. Prior to Veeva, Kanarsky held multiple roles at Lucidworks from June 2015 to March 2020, including Tech Lead and Senior Software Engineer in the Fusion Core Team, contributing to a significant search and data application development platform. Previous positions include Technical Lead at Zillow overseeing Trulia's search infrastructure following its acquisition, and Principal Software Engineer at Trulia responsible for backend indexing and search projects. Kanarsky's earlier experience includes a Senior Software Engineer role at Autonomy Corp. developing a petabyte-scale email archive solution, as well as consulting roles at STLport and Metabyte, and a Software Engineer position at Sun Microsystems. Kanarsky holds an M.S. in Mathematics and Computer Science from Moscow State University.
