Jackie Va

Jackie Va has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Jackie has worked as the Director of Food Events at Vegan Outreach, where they revamped and executed an ambitious annual roster of Vegan Chef Challenges. Jackie also served as the Program Manager, overseeing nationwide projects providing grocery assistance to marginalized communities. Previously, they worked as a Social Media Assistant, Lead Northern California Vegan Food Aid Organizer, Outreach Coordinator, and Interim Office Manager at Vegan Outreach.

Jackie has also volunteered as an Adoption Specialist at Only Sunshine Sanctuary, organizing adoption events for rescued rabbits. Additionally, they co-founded Stockton Vegan Living and served as the Social Media Manager. At NorCal Resist, they volunteered and contributed through graphic design, community gardening, and tabling activities. Furthermore, Jackie co-founded Khmer Space and worked as a GIS Specialist at Kjeldsen, Sinnock and Neudeck, Inc., a GIS Technician at O'Dell Engineering, and a GIS Intern at the Santa Barbara County Assessor’s Mapping Division. Jackie also gained experience as a GIS Tech Intern at Restore the Delta and as a Team Member at Montecito Fire Protection District.

Jackie Va obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Geography with a GIS Emphasis from UC Santa Barbara. Jackie attended the university from 2010 to 2014.
