Piyush Wasurke

Piyush Wasurke currently serves as a Subject Matter Expert focusing on farmer engagement at VEGROW since January 2024. Prior to this role, Piyush was an Assistant Professor at the College of Agriculture Konghara from May 2023 to January 2024 and completed a Project Trainee position at Pragya from July 2022 to April 2023. Experience also includes involvement in a PPV&FR project on DUS Characterisation of wheat and barley at Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology And Sciences (SHUATS) in 2019, and work as an agriculture field executive at Bhumitra Laboratories & Soilcare, managing various crop types and farmer interactions from June 2018 to June 2019. Additionally, participation in a Rural Awareness Work Experience Program at KVK Badnera Amravati took place from February to May 2018. Education includes a Master’s degree in Genetics and Plant Breeding from SHUATS and a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture from Dr. PDKV, Akola.
